“This is my life”
This is my home. Two years ago, I had my first dance class @chairDance. I don’t know how I got there and what to expect. Instantly I felt this warm, supportive vibe and it only got bigger. I got bigger. Not only as a dancer, but also as a person. I realized I never really enjoyed dancing: the constant focus on the steps. Competition with other girls. It made me feel so small. I don’t want to be the best dancer. I don’t want to feel any competitive vibe with the girls around me. I want to feel the music. I can get so lost when I dance. It’s heaven. My goal with teaching is not to strive for the perfect stretch leg. I don’t care about that. I don’t mind if you miss a step. I want to support those stunning girls (they all are!). That everyone feels bigger. Dance is emotion, expression. That’s what I care about. Let’s dance freely, let’s feel good about ourselves. This is my life.
