The training is extremely thorough and I feel that I have been given all the information required to be able to teach safe, exciting classes that will bring challenge and fulfillment in equal measure.
Beyond the importance of learning to warm up correctly and carry out moves safely, I think the most important part of the course is conveying the body expressive method and appreciating just how powerful the message of inclusion can be.

This is my home.
Two years ago, I had my first dance class @chairDance. I don’t know how I got there and what to expect. Instantly I felt this warm, supportive vibe and it only got bigger. I got bigger. Not only as a dancer, but also as a person.
I realized I never really enjoyed dancing: the constant focus on the steps. Competition with other girls. It made me feel so small.
I don’t want to be the best dancer. I don’t want to feel any competitive vibe with the girls around me. I want to feel the music. I can get so lost when I dance. It’s heaven.
My goal with teaching is not to strive for the perfect stretch leg. I don’t care about that. I don’t mind if you miss a step. I want to support those stunning girls (they all are!). That everyone feels bigger. Dance is emotion, expression. That’s what I care about.
Let’s dance freely, let’s feel good about ourselves.
I think it’s a very good oportunity to encourage woman to be more sensual and confident.
For woman who are not confident enough to dance, I think a chair is a helping them because it gives dancing another experience.
I wanted to become more sensual in my dancing life and this style will help me with it.
I enjoyed everything, I don´t have anything that could be better.

“I followed the Chair Dance Express classes with Kate when I was studying in Leuven, and later I completed the Chair Dance Express Instructor Training. After my studies, I started my own Chair Dance Express class, which is a nice complement to Partyrobics. I take the time to learn choreography to my students, we usually work on the same choreo for about one month to really feel every step and to be connected with the music. My choreographies are very lyrical. I also love to dance with a “dress code”. At the end of a class, we record the choreo so we have very nice, sometimes sexy, sometimes hilarious, memories to cherish.”
